About Pennington

Pennington is a small hamlet with a scattering of dwellings, farms and country pubs, situated on the beautiful Lake District Peninsula, an area of tranquillity, gentle hills and unspoilt walking country. Locally, the start of the Haematite and Cumbrian Way footpaths can be located, and the pubs and restaurants are renowned locally for their fine ales and good food.

Ulverston

Ulverston is a market town in the centre of the Furness peninsula. and is close to tourist areas Coniston and Windermere. The lovely quaint town has many unspoilt cobbled streets with many independent Shops, cafes, and pubs. It’s also the birth town of Stan Laurel one half of the comedy duo Laural & Hardy. Home of the famous Dickensian Festival each year.  

Explore the Lake District

Facilities include a wide range of independent shops, pubs, restaurants, a cinema and a leisure centre. All of the attractions of the National Park are easily reached. The Furness Coast boasts sandy beaches and good birdwatching.
